چکیده
Persian walnut (Juglans regia L., Juglandaceae), one of the essential nut crops, is affected by different diseases, including mite attacks which result in gall and erineum formation. As proportion leaf area covered galls or typically relatively low, impact on tree photosynthetic productivity often considered minor, no pest control management usually suggested. However, effect erineum-forming mites photosynthesis might be disproportionately larger than can predicted from impacted. In present study, we studied how foliage characteristics, pigment contents, stress-induced volatile organic compounds scaled with severity infection varied 0% (control trees) to 9.9%, Aceria erinea J. regia. Both net assimilation rate (up 75% reduction) stomatal conductance 82%) decreased disproportionately, increasing severity. Leaf total chlorophyll β-carotene contents also severity, although reduction was less for characteristics (28% 25% β-carotene). The induced significant emissions green leaves volatiles ((Z)-3-hexenol, (E)-2-hexenal, (Z)-3-hexenyl acetate 1-hexanol), monoterpenes homoterpene 3-(E)-4,8-dimethyl-1,3,7-nonatriene, these positively percentage infected. These results collectively indicate that profound modifications physiological significantly productivity.

Heavy metal accumulation in the bark and leaves of Juglans regia planted in Artvin City, Turkey
The aim of this study was to determine the level of heavy metals such as copper, iron, manganese, zinc, lead, nickel, cadmium and chromium concentrated in Juglans regia bark and leaf samples from different localities in Artvin, Turkey. Analysis of the heavy metals Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn, Pb, Ni, Cd and Cr in samples was carried out by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES; P...

BACKGROUND Juglans regia leaves have been used in folk medicine to alleviate inflammatory diseases. This study investigates the antinociceptive, anti-Inflammatory and acute toxicity effects of Juglans regia L. leaves in mice. METHODS 351 Male and female albino mice were divided into negative (saline), positive (morphine or diclofenac) controls as well as test groups (n=6-8). The acute (intrap...

متن کاملFine structure, pigment content and photosynthetic activity of variegated leaves of Euonymus fortunei var. radicans
Fine structure, pigment content and photosynthetic activity of variegated leaves of Euonymus fortunei var. radicans have been studied in detail. The middle dark-green leaf areas contain normal chloroplasts with large grana. Their chlorophyll content is high, as is their photosynthetic activity. The marginal leaf areas with mutant plastids are highly light-sensitive. When grown in the shade they...
متن کاملErinea formation on Quercus ilex leaves: anatomical, physiological and chemical responses of leaf trichomes against mite attack.
Structures on the surfaces of leaves, such as dense layers of non-glandular trichomes, strongly affect phylloplane mite activities. On the other hand the feeding of eriophyoid mites on leaf surfaces can cause hyperplasia of leaf trichomes (erinea formation). In many cases the hyperplasia is accompanied by the accumulation of pigments within trichome cells, causing an impressive red-brown colour...
